5. How did you attract/ address your audience?

Shown above is three bar charts in which i asked 3 dufferent teenagers a serious of questions about my magazine and asked them to score this out of five. By looking at my results most of the questions i asked i have scored 4/5 for which is the highest region of scores. Therefore this proesnts to me that i am addressing my audience well considering that the people that i asked were teenagers around about the age in whcih i am aiming my product to be suitable for when finished.
I also feel that due to the images that i have used, adresses my audience well as for my music magazine there is a tennager on the front and vice versa for my school magazine however, I feel that the images at the bottom of the page on my school magazine which i have used, which are from the tallent show (which was a moulin rouge theme) produced and arranged by the sixth formers, and images from the grease school production, are more interesting for the students to want to read not just for the parents. As typically a school magazine is where the parents of the child who is attending the school would like to buy this as it tells them what is happening in the school and upcoming events etc, and that the child does not normally want to read this. However i feel that what i have included in this magazine, will be therefore more enticing for the students in the school. I also had "Win leeds tickets " on the front of this magazine so therefore this will also adress my audience alot more due to the fact that teenagers are very interested in festivals and the fact that there may be a change for them to win a ticket inside will be inticing for them to want to buy my magazine. I feel that i have done a lot of research whilst creating my magazine front covers etc, so therefore i have researched into which types of things should be included in magazine for different genres, so therefore i knew what to use for a school magazine, and then knew how to change this to fit my music magazine.
Also lots of people have commented on my work (teenagers), and some of the comments which they have made is that they would definatly buy this magazine and that they feel it is very professional looking, and looks like something that you would find in stores. They feel that it fits its purpose and fits the genre of each magazine, which has been carefully thought out with all of the codes and conventions to where the imaging, and writing would go.
I addressed my target audience by constantly asking them what their oppinions were about my work, and the comments they thought in which i could change my work to make it fit my target audience more and how it would be more eye catching etc. I was very open to constructive critism so therefore i feel that by being like this it has helped me with the progression with my magazine, and to have it turned out the way it is now.
